Heart-stopping finale on the Nordschleife: ROWE RACING gave BMW its 20th overall victory in the 48th ADAC TOTAL 24h Race. 50 years after their success at the premiere in 1970, the Munich-based team prevailed in a thrilling finale at the "Eifel Marathon" for the first time since 2010. After a nine-and-a-half hour rain interruption during the night, ROWE RACING showed a masterstroke! The #99 BMW made the right tactical decision during another rain shower just under two hours before the end of the race: After a change to rain tyres, Nick Catsburg pushed past the leading Audi #3 and then brought the first victory for the team from St. Ingbert in Saarland across the finish line despite Christopher Haase catching up. 

Due to the later time of the year, the Eifel showed its "cold shoulder" with lots of rain. Because of the Corona regulations, only ten helpers per vehicle and only a few spectators were allowed to be live on the grandstands of the Grand Prix circuit. With 97 starters, it was the second smallest starting field after 1976, but the action at the overall top and in some was exciting - in the BMW Cup, Cayman Cup, V2T and V4, close decisions were made.
